Hamamatsu Pharma Research is a contract research laboratory established in 2005 with
academic support from Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, to assist
in developing
novel pharmaceutical products.
For stroke research, we have developed the thrombosis model using the Photochemical-
Induced Thrombosis(PIT)method, which was developed by the Department of
Pharmacology,
Hamamatsu University of Medicine in monkeys and in small laboratory animals.
Also, we
have developed the cerebral infraction model in both monkeys and laboratory
animals.
We have been actively developing new animal models of disease. Through
the generous
support of our collaborators, we have moved into our own new laboratory
in October 2010.
We will also be able to evaluate therapeutics using imaging such as MRI,
CT and so on.
